Induction Motor Analysis Using Reduced Order Model
Halašta, Vítězslav ; Cipín, Radoslav (oponent) ; Bárta, Jan (vedoucí práce)
This master's thesis deals with analyzing an induction machine using reduced order modelling. Firstly, optimal electric machines for electric vehicles with state of the art manufacturing technologies were described and compared with emphasis on the possible use of the induction machine. Further, different hybrid and electric vehicle types were presented alongside possible powertrain configurations. Optimization and surrogate modelling was described. Fast analysis of an induction machine using space-vector theory, specifically reduced order modelling, was adopted and studied. Code in Python was created to automate this modelling procedure and obtain an efficiency map as a final result. The conclusion offers results from a multi-source comparison of electrical machines. In addition, reasons why the induction machine might be a significant player in electric vehicle propulsion, are expressed. The interesting findings regarding the modelling are also summed up in the conclusion part alongside possible future directions of eventual follow-up theses.
